The Fort Amherst Easter Fair 2014 again promises fun for all the family at Britain’s largest Napoleonic Fortress. Our annual event will celebrate the site’s 300 years of military history with tours of our amazing network of underground passageways, historic buildings and gun emplacements. Tours of our incredible tunnel defences will be available, and you will be able to explore areas not usually open to the public. Strolling to the fort’s highest point will reward you with spectacular views over the River Medway, whilst younger guests can enjoy our play area – both are a great excuse to visit our Café for some light refreshments. As a popular tourist attraction in its own right, the fort has much to offer our guests, but with stalls, games, children’s activities, public demonstrations, exclusive tours and historical re-enactments - the 20th and 21st April will be the perfect time to visit!

Pitches are available for stallholders wanting to sell their goods or advertise their business, and as all proceeds go towards keeping our grounds open to the public free of charge every day of the year; we would love to hear from anyone who would like to help us run our own stands at this fundraising egg-travaganza.
