KIDS’ WORKSHOPS

(During school holidays – check calendar for dates and prices) Children can burn off energy in the fresh air and learn about nature, too! Explore Fort Amherst’s Nature Trail with a nature expert, and then make a bat, bird, butterfly or ladybird house to take home. Adult supervision required.

SPECIAL EVENTS

World War One Infantry Training School

Sat 11 & Sun 12 February 10am - 3pm each day

See the men of the Middlesex Regiment of 1914-1918 undergoing training. They will undertake foot and rifle drill, musketry training, field tactics and patrolling. This is a real insight into the actual training undertaken at Fort Amherst and on the Great Lines during the Great War.
